In this presentation, Dr. Yong Zhao, an internationally known education scholar, author and speaker, discusses issues relating to 21st century education. Dr. Zhao is the Presidential Chair and Associate Dean for Global Education, College of Education, at the University of Oregon, and a professor in the Department of Educational Measurement, Policy and Leadership. He is an advocate of teachers using and studying modern technology to reach students in a creative way. He encourages teachers to look to emerging technology to connect with students of different cultures in other countries. Dr. Zhao has published more than 100 articles and 20 books, including “Catching Up or Leading the Way: American Education in the Age of Globalization” and “World Class Learners: Educating Creative and Entrepreneurial Students.”
